Peppers Creek Barrel Room & Chapel is a wedding venue in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. The venue offers a purpose-built sandstone chapel for indoor ceremonies (designed by architect Peter Ireland), a rustic barrel room for receptions with exposed timber beams, draped festoon lighting and a large fireplace, multiple outdoor ceremony locations (amongst the merlot vines, in the fields, by the dam, at the chapel entrance), on-site catering through Wine Country Catering (the venue's in-house culinary team — everything made from scratch), and on-site accommodation via three cottages in the Peppers Creek Village sleeping up to 26 guests in total.
Co-owners Pete (20+ years hospitality and business administration; multi-million-dollar Hunter Valley commercial renovations since 2001) and Jade (25 years self-employed in events; runs two multiple-award-winning Hunter Valley wedding flowers and styling businesses in Newcastle) acquired the venue from former owner Ken and continue to operate it with his long-serving team.
