Micro wedding or elopement: what's the difference?
The words get used interchangeably, but here at Peppers Creek we split them by guest count and by how much of the traditional wedding day you want.
A micro wedding at Peppers Creek is designed for 30 to 50 guests. It's the full traditional day (chapel ceremony, drinks, seated 3-course reception in the Barrel Room, first dance), just at a scale that keeps every guest close. Micro weddings are run by our in-house team, and packages start at $250 per person for food and beverages, plus the chapel ceremony hire.
An elopement is for smaller groups, from just the 2 of you up to 30 guests. Elopements are run in partnership with Pash & Dash Weddings, our elopement specialist partner. Their packages bundle ceremony, celebrant, photography, florals, catering and beverages into an all-inclusive price. Click here for Pash and dash packages
Both use the same sandstone chapel and the same estate for outdoor ceremonies. The difference is scale, how the day is packaged, and how much of the day you want to formalise.

Micro weddings: 30 to 50 guests
A micro wedding at Peppers Creek is your full wedding day in miniature. Every part of the traditional day is included. You're just skipping the pressure to invite 150 people you haven't seen in years.
Available on select days in January, February, June, July, and December 14th to 30th, plus Wednesdays and Thursdays year-round. Sundays are also available with a $1,000 surcharge.

Ceremony in the sandstone chapel, or your choice of outdoor spot (amongst the merlot vines, at the Barrel Room doors, or by the Barrel Room fireplace)
Exclusive use of the Barrel Room for your 5-hour reception, styled for your guest count
Deluxe Romantic Traditions food package: 3 canapés, entree alternate serve, mains alternate serve, dessert alternate serve or dessert station, wedding cake served on platters
5-hour beverage package: sparkling, prosecco or moscato, 3 whites, 3 reds, light beer, 4 bottled beers or ciders (all Hunter Valley wines)
Post-ceremony grazing station, 30-glass champagne tower, lawn games, ceiling fairy lights in the Barrel Room

Package pricing
From $250 per person for the food and beverage package, plus $1,400 (Monday to Thursday) or $1,600 (Friday to Sunday) for chapel ceremony hire.
Minimum guest numbers
Minimum guest counts vary by month and day of the week, ranging from 50 guests (weekdays in most months) up to 85 (weekend weddings in peak months). A $100 per person surcharge applies for each guest below the minimum. Talk to our team for the specific minimum on your preferred date.

For couples who want the day to feel private, unhurried and just about the two of you (plus a small circle of people who matter most). Our elopement packages are delivered in partnership with Pash & Dash Weddings, who specialise in exactly this format. Two packages to choose from.
Small Wedding Package: (up to 15 guests, upgradeable to 30)
The full package for a small, celebratory day with a proper reception. Exclusive use of the Barrel Room and Chapel, all-inclusive.
Available all year, Tuesday to Thursday. Bookings within 8 months.
Dash Event Package: for up to 8 guests
The most intimate option. A short ceremony followed by post-ceremony bubbles. Ideal for couples with just their closest people.

Stay on-site at Peppers Creek Village
Three named stone cottages (The Yacht Club, The Racquet Club and The Residence) sit alongside the chapel and Barrel Room at Peppers Creek Village. Together they sleep up to 26 guests, which is enough for the whole wedding party and out-of-town family to stay a 30-second walk from the ceremony.
Cottage accommodation is available as an add-on to elopement packages, and can be coordinated alongside micro wedding bookings. Mention the cottages in your wedding enquiry and our team will help coordinate cottage availability with the accommodation team.

Our micro wedding packages are designed for 30 to 50 guests. If you're under 30, our elopement packages (2 to 30 guests) through Pash & Dash Weddings are usually a better fit and are more cost-effective. If you're over 50, we can accommodate up to 180 guests with our full wedding packages.

A micro wedding at Peppers Creek is a full traditional wedding day at a smaller scale (ceremony, seated 3-course reception, dancing, everything) for 30 to 50 guests, run by our in-house team. An elopement is more relaxed and intimate, for 2 to 30 guests, and packaged all-inclusive by our partner Pash & Dash Weddings. Elopements bundle celebrant, photography, florals, food and beverages into a single price.

For elopements packaged through Pash & Dash Weddings, guided site visits are unavailable due to limited appointments, but the Pash & Dash team can walk you through the venue in detail over a call.
