Wrap-up: July 2025

For once, we are (almost!) lost for words - this July has been so special in so many ways. Don’t get us wrong, there’s a lot to be said for balmy, sun-soaked afternoons and an abundance of vibrant and fragrant flowers, but winter weddings in the Hunter Valley offer something pretty magical too.

Stay warm and see you all in August x

ONE

This was one of the most standout winter weddings at Peppers Creek in recent memory, featuring vivid pinky red florals, a delicate smattering of glass hurricane candles, and the cutest little cavoodle! We just loved everything about Sarah and Bec’s fairytale-like celebration, especially their giant pavlova. It’s a super fun (and seriously insta-worthy!) replacement for the traditional wedding cake and an increasingly popular choice for couples looking to add something unique to their dessert table. These beautiful brides also hit the jackpot with overcast skies on the day, which are low-key ideal for capturing the dreamiest photos. No harsh shadows = soft, even light! Their full gallery is now on live on our website. Dare you to pick a favourite…

TWO

Another standout? Jess and Colby! These two chose a classic neutral colour palette for their wedding at Peppers Creek at the start of the month, filling our rustic-meets-opulence venue with masses of blush roses. Draped fairy lights throughout the barrel room and an elegant, two-tier buttercream cake added to the heavenly vibes. It’s impossible to go wrong with this refined, quiet luxury aesthetic - timeless for a reason! A huge shoutout to their amazing team of vendors and a heartfelt congratulations to the sweet newlyweds.

THREE

‘Tis the season to light up our stunning stone fireplace. It’s the largest in the Hunter Valley (justi fyi!) and the quintessential backdrop for an intimate winter evening at Peppers Creek. Hannah and Luke’s wedding was just divine amidst this cosy setup, with flickering candlelight adding to the Tuscan-inspired ambience inside our barrel room. A live wedding artist was also on hand to create a painting of their reception, capturing this romantic atmosphere and all the feel-good emotions in real-time. A beautiful way to make lasting memories! The most unforgettable element though? Hannah and Luke absolutely nailing the dancing dip pose - and in multiple locations, no less!

There may be a bit of a theme emerging here… the team at Peppers Creek Barrel Room and Chapel just cannot get enough of winter weddings! From zero humidity and perfect lighting to improved vendor flexibility and endless creative styling options, saying ‘I do’ during the cooler months is a little out of the ordinary and A LOT enticing. There are many, many benefits to getting married outside of peak season! For more details, head to our blog.

The verdict’s in - our recent Dash Day event has produced the most mesmerizing photos. All the galleries are finally back too! A handful of Hunter Valley lovebirds opted for this promotional package back in May, with leading small wedding specialists Pash & Dash taking care of all the planning. Lush florals, celebratory drinks, a custom cake and 45-minute professional photography session were all included for a flat price, as was 1-hour exclusive use of our iconic sandstone chapel. Why settle for a registry office when you can elope in style?! Keep an eye on our socials for info on the next epic installment, which is scheduled for November.
